Demand PlannerFull‑time position (40 hours/week)
In your role as Demand Planner, you are part of the Supply Chain team within our Wholesale department, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager Wholesale.
The Demand Planner serves as the optimizer between demand and supply. Responsible for fulfilling customer demand within business constraints, the role requires balancing service levels with cost factors such as inventory, capacity, and operational costs. Finding the right equilibrium is key, and this involves influencing all parties involved in or impacted by the demand management process, without overstepping their respective responsibilities.
You will be accountable for the forecasting process, stock management, and stock‑keeping unit management, and you play a central role. Data is collected, transformed into actionable insights, and then used to propose or decide on necessary actions. Additionally, you offer perspectives on realistic expectations for the demand plan and advise on how best to balance supply and demand.
You will be collaborating with sales teams, and you lead demand forecasting for wholesale off‑the‑shelf deliveries and long‑term agreements for dedicated items. Parameters for stock level management are set, with quantitative analyses conducted regularly. The role also involves planning the product portfolio and overseeing the product life cycle.
You will have close cooperation with the Purchase and Supply Chain teams ensuring that lead times are met and products are ordered according to customer requirements.
As a Demand Planner, you are mainly responsible for:
- Forecast Management
- Increase forecast accuracy
- Manage demand for products
- Forecast measurements
- Designing and generating statistical forecast reports and forecast accuracy
- Relating, measuring and reporting the impact of forecast accuracy
- Evolving and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for forecasting processes and systems
- Conduct current and future forecasting analysis, insuring forecasting processes and methods are followed
- Collect and analyze all data pertinent to creating the consolidated sales forecast
- Enable collaborative planning and forecasting, both with customers and supplier
- Support the Supply Chain Manager in the Sales and Operations Planning-process
- Stock Management
- Optimize inventory costs
- Analyze and propose the optimal way of handling items based on Slim4 data, sales data, forecast and product characteristics
- Analyze and propose the decoupling point for each item
- Analyze, propose and manage management approved inventory targets (including service level and safety stock levels)
- Maintain parameters in Slim 4 and ERP through PIM‑SAAS
- Realize the SLA against the lowest possible working capital, capacity (both warehousing and supplier production), manufacturing and distribution cost
- Manage obsolete stock, cycle stock, anticipating stock and speculative stock
- Make thorough analyses, draw clear conclusion and communicate in a simple and understandable way. Have a pro‑active approach regarding to deviations and improvements of the process.

- Collect business cases for new products, check on existing alternatives, completeness, correctness, consistency and clearness
