We are looking for a Senior Linux Kernel Developer to work on the lowest layer of Amazon EC2 software stack, touching the Linux kernel, the Hypervisor subsystems in the kernel, and interesting bare metal workloads.You will develop, maintain and keep secure the foundational components of Amazon EC2. You will monitor live operation metrics to ensure that we are delivering the best experience to our customers at any time.

On-Call Responsibility :This position involves On-call responsibility. We work as a team to root-cause the issues and ensure our systems are resilient and fault-tolerant.

· BS in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
· Programming experience in C, evidenced by writing Linux Kernel code
Proficiency in the German language is not required for this position.
· Capability to recognize and support technical talent, mentor other engineers, and making the team great
· Ability to design software solutions to engineering challenges
· Experience in virtualization (Xen, KVM) technology
· Experience in leading efforts to improve software quality, such as code review, static code analysis, CI/CD, automated testing
