As a validation engineering manager, you are jointly responsible to build a world class validation engineering group within the luminaires R&D team via competence development, people management and coaching.
You ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of new Hue luminaires during the entire innovation process with the aim to fulfill the customer’s need and relevant regulatory and statuary requirements. Focus is on development of thermo/mechanical/optical designs for luminaires and LED/electronic designs for luminaire building blocks.

Manage the group of validation engineers: resources, competences, cross-group and cross-organization cooperation.
Drive for continuous improvement of product quality by closing feedback loops from customer complaints and embedding the learnings into new design rules.
Ensure the quality and reliability of new products during the design stage according to the needs of the customer using the DFSS methodology. Prevents incidents by ensuring robust design.
Create integral quality planning and assure all quality deliverables of all quality disciplines (SQ,IQ,FQ, Development Quality, compliancy) are on time and with the right quality level. Synchronize Quality planning with integral NPDL planning made by IPM.
Lead risk and failure analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA) to ensure functional specification requirements and severity are fully met during design validation. Block MS/Gate if critical deliverables are missing or not at the right quality.
Master’s or PhD degree in in a technical domain, preferably in electronics, optics, mechanics or thermal engineering.
You have at least 5 years of experience in product creation, and at least 3 years as an advanced quality leader in relevant technological areas. Deep understanding of Quality tools like FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, APQP.
Proven experience in R&D people leadership, demonstrate through leadership, commitment to the principles of "Continuous Improvement"
You are an organizational talent and team player, who gets energized by motivating others to pick-up their quality responsibilities and who can work effectively in an international, multi-site environment.
Able to work on highly complex topics (eg. HW/SW- system interaction) where analysis of situations / data involves many factors.
Customer focus, outside-in mentality.
