As Sales Development Manager Emerging Markets you are responsible for creating and executing the sales development strategy together with the Emerging Markets Regional Sales Manager (PACCAR Parts Europe). The position has primary responsibility to grow the parts sales capacity, capability and network in new markets, discovering and prioritizing the highest parts sales potential regions. Within this role you:
- Work closely with the responsible district parts manager(s) of the Sales Unit teams, dealer network development, service colleagues and PACCAR Parts logistics and operations to assure constantly improving service levels to our customers and dealers
- Work closely with all stakeholders as required to develop and support new PPE partners in establishing successful parts sales businesses
- Include assisting in hiring, training sales staff, implementing sales support systems such as Managed Dealer Inventory (MDI), Focus+, our eCommerce platform, marketing promotion creator (PromoStore); and to identify, define and create sales plans together with dealers and district parts manager(s)
- Utilize your knowledge and experience to create and improve our strategy and execution to emerging markets’ parts business; and make well-thought-out recommendations on how to prioritize our resources
- Frequently visit the markets (truck operators and dealers) to understand business opportunities, market specifics, regulations, and providing market feedback into the organisation will be required
- Lead detailed input into the growth strategy of the parts sales focused on emerging markets
- Develop plans for the growth of DAF truck, TRP All-Makes and Trailer parts sales with specific focus on emerging market potential
- To guide and coach your colleagues and dealers to improve our business in emerging markets
- Provide actionable input to optimize DAF & PPE tools and systems where opportunities are identified
- Come up with projects to improve access and applicability of PPE tools for emerging market dealers
- Cooperate with logistics and operations to discover and improve optimization and parts flow
- Advise and support the sales unit and dealers in structure, pricing, sales actions, customer visits, market insights, etc
- Gather and structure information necessary to prepare commercial plans and market development
- Take the lead in performing PPE emerging market reviews and development plans. Monitor progress, communicate to management and take action where needed to ensure the effectiveness of the implemented strategy

- A Bachelor degree required or equivalent experience, Master’s degree preferred
- Result driven self-starter with initiative, creativity, and ability to influence
- Confident communication skills, ability to present to management
- Ability to discover range of solutions to present scenarios and optimal suggestions
- Customer orientation, business-to-business experience preferred
- Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and/or commercial vehicle parts business, sales experience with dealerships or commercials fleets is advantageous
- Fluency in English, written and spoken is essential. Additional languages welcome
PACCAR Parts Europe (PPE) reports to the PACCAR Parts Division in North America. PPE works closely with DAF Trucks in Europe in order to grow the sales of spare parts to over 1,000 DAF dealers, TRP stores and customers around the world. To satisfy our customers’ ‘one-stop shop’ requirement, PACCAR Parts sells DAF branded parts for DAF truck applications, PACCAR branded parts for PACCAR engine applications and TRP and vendor branded parts for applications on different brands of trucks, trailers and workshop items. PPE has employees in all major European markets and PACCAR Distributions Centers (PDC) in Eindhoven, Leyland, Madrid, Budapest, Ponta Grossa and Panama.
Parts Emerging Markets & TRP Sales team
The PACCAR Parts Emerging Markets team is responsible for spare parts sales, sales channel development, and sales process implementation within 50+ emerging markets mainly located outside the European Union.
The Sales Development Manager will need to work closely with: the DAF Sales Operations subsidiary based in Eindhoven, they are responsible for managing the DAF Marketing & Sales activities within all the markets without a local DAF office; the DAF Service department to assure support for new markets and TRP Partners; the PACCAR Parts Marketing; and PACCAR Parts Operations departments.
