At Trymax, we develop and build high-tech, plasma-based wafer-processing equipment for semiconductor manufacturers worldwide. As a Field Service Engineer, you work at the forefront of wafer-processing technology, supporting our growing international customer base with installation, service, and technical expertise.

What will be your role?
As a Field Service Engineer, you install, commission, service, and troubleshoot our systems at customers' sites, primarily across Europe and occasionally in the USA or Asia. You are the first point of contact for technical support and advice and, where applicable, carry out preventive maintenance under service agreements.
Since much of the first-line maintenance is performed by our customers' own technical teams, you also play an important role in training their service engineers and operators. By accurately documenting system issues and solutions, advising customers on spare parts management, and sharing technical knowledge, you help maximize system uptime and performance. You will also regularly meet with customers to discuss technical progress, service activities, and follow-up actions.
When you are not travelling or working at a customer site, you will be based at our headquarters in Nijmegen. Here, you provide remote technical support to customers and colleagues via Microsoft Teams, email, and telephone, and prepare system upgrades, service activities, and documentation.
You will join our team in Nijmegen and receive extensive onboarding and technical training to become familiar with our systems, technology, and procedures. In addition, experienced colleagues will provide hands-on, on-the-job training. Your manager will be in touch with you on a regular basis to support you.

As you'll be working both independently and together with colleagues, you enjoy the balance between autonomy and teamwork.
Your communication skills help you connect easily with colleagues, customers' operators, engineers, and management. Most of the customers you support are located in Europe, but occasionally you may be called upon for assignments outside Europe, including in the USA or Asia. That is why you enjoy travelling and are comfortable working in an international environment.
The knowledge and experience you bring to Trymax include:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical field. You may also have gained this level of knowledge through relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of multiple disciplines, such as mechanical, electro-mechanical and electrical engineering, electronics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, robotics, RF technology, and software. Knowledge of vacuum systems, robotics, and/or RF technology is considered a plus.
- Work experience in equipment engineering, servicing, or the semiconductor industry is desirable, but not essential.
- Good working knowledge of English. Knowledge of German and/or Dutch is a plus.
- A valid driving licence.
