The Human Resource Business Partner is the operational HR partner for designated client groups (Commercial), serving as the first point of contact and a subject‑matter expert. This role is strategic and hands‑on, using project management discipline and data‑driven insights to align people initiatives with business goals, deliver value, and support leadership and employees across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary HR contact for designated client groups and build strong relationships with leaders and HR colleagues to translate business goals into practical HR initiatives.
- Lead HR projects end‑to‑end using formal project management practices (scope, milestones, timelines, risk management, stakeholder communication, and success metrics).
- Analyze workforce data and HR metrics (turnover, time‑to‑fill, engagement, headcount planning) and develop reports and dashboards to inform decisions and measure impact.
- Advise on workforce planning, organizational design, performance management, and change management, driving process improvements across HR programs.
- Represent the company in local work councils.
- Coach leaders and employees on performance, employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution and support communications between staff and leadership.
- Design and deliver training and leadership development to enhance people management skills.
- Ensure legal compliance and partner with Legal as needed; maintain policy consistency and risk mitigation.
- Support continuous improvement of HR processes and ensure HRIS data integrity; collaborate with IT/Analytics as appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HR generalist experience with work council management and a proven track record in project management and data‑driven HR.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Strong analytical skills; experience analyzing HR data, generating insights, and presenting to leadership.
- Proficiency with HRIS (e.g., Workday) and data tools; advanced Excel skills; ability to create and interpret dashboards/reports.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management; ability to partner with executives and managers.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulatory compliance; ability to conduct objective investigations in the countries that one covers.
- Change‑management mindset; ability to manage multiple initiatives and a degree of ambiguity.
- Travel to different regions within EMEA as required by the business.
