We are looking for a hands-on, operational and experienced Cluster Learning & Development Coordinator who can identify the current and future training needs in the different departments of our hotels. You support the department in creating training opportunities that will develop the knowledge, skills and capabilities of our team members and as a result increase both team member satisfaction and business performance.
What will I be doing?
As part of the Human Resources team in the Netherlands and Belgium, you serve as an integral component by supporting learning and development initiatives through Hilton's comprehensive training framework. Your hotels include Hilton Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Double Tree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station, Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, Hilton Rotterdam, Hilton the Hague, Double Tree by Hilton Soestduinen, Hilton Amsterdam (currently closed for renovation) and Hilton Antwerp Old Town.
As a Learning & Development Coordinator, you are responsible for identifying and providing training to our team members. You assist departments in achieving training objectives and promote our company brand to potential talents. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Identify training and development needs systematically throughout the hotel in conjunction with Line Managers/Heads of Department, HR Manager, and Learning & Development Manager
Business partner for heads of departments on training participation, succession planning, people management and personal development opportunities
Coordinate and provide internal and external quality training to our team members, main focus on operational departments (Food & Beverage and Front Office)
Support and implement Hilton Worldwide required training activities in various departments
Prepare, organize and administer training courses
Support head of departments in ensuring new employees have received departmental and legal training
Facilitate team coach meetings and offer support where needed
Creatively recruit candidates for the variety of internships in our hotels, amongst which: attend company fairs and present the brand at the Hotel Management schools in the region
Coordinate and administrate internships in the hotels
Be the ‘go-to’ person for interns/apprentices in the hotels and support, train and coach them
Working on different projects to continuously bring the Learning & Development department to the next level

Ability to speak/write the Dutch and English language fluently
3+ Years of work experience in hotel operations (preferably in Food & Beverages and/or Front Office)
Work experience in the role of supervisor
In possession of a valid driver’s license (category B)
Ability to effectively communicate with different levels of the organization and someone who can influence others in a positive way
Ability to deliver results and solutions and keep the focus on driving customer value
Ability to work interdependently with others, within or across teams, functions and brands
Committed to delivering a high level of customer service, both internally and externally
Comfortable with hosting trainings and presenting in front of a big audience
