Chief Financial Officer (CFO)We are looking for a dynamic and experienced CFO to join our executive leadership team. This person will take ownership of our financial strategy and operations as we scale from early‑stage to growth and maturity. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of strategic insight and hands‑on execution, with prior experience in venture‑backed deep‑tech, semiconductor, or hardware startups.
You will be a close partner to the CEO and board of investors, helping lead Innatera through future growth stages, non‑dilutive and dilutive fundraising, and deeper institutional investor engagement.

Develop and lead short‑term and long‑term financial strategy aligned with company objectives;
Drive fundraising strategy (dilutive and non‑dilutive), including grant sourcing and execution, especially within the Dutch and European ecosystems;
Support M&A evaluations, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships;
Collaborate with investors and board members; maintain financial transparency and trust;
Prepare and present investor‑ready materials and financial updates to key stakeholders;
Oversee all finance‑related functions: accounting, FP&A, cash flow, payroll, procurement, audit, and tax;
Lead and manage relationships with financial institutions, including overseeing loan applications, credit facilities, and funding negotiations to support the company’s growth strategy;
Ensure timely preparation of IFRS‑compliant financial statements and audit readiness;
Implement strong financial controls, KPIs, and reporting systems for financial health and operational scaling;
Manage cash flows and working capital in line with a scaling, capital‑efficient hardware company;
Support financial decision‑making in R&D, procurement, and manufacturing operations;
Build and lead a lean, high‑performing finance and admin team;
Mentor and develop financial talent; instil a culture of ownership, integrity, and performance;
Work cross‑functionally with product, engineering, and operations to align financial goals with execution.
10+ years of financial leadership experience, including at least one CFO or VP Finance role in VC‑backed, deep‑tech, hardware, or semiconductor companies;
Proven track record in startup and scale‑up environments, ideally across Series A–D stages, with full ownership of financial planning, investor reporting, and fundraising support;
Strong understanding of venture capital dynamics and financial operations in early‑stage technology companies;
Hands‑on experience building financial systems, processes, and internal controls from the ground up in fast‑paced, resource‑constrained settings;
Solid knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and managing multi‑entity, international corporate structures;
Familiarity with the Dutch financial, tax, and regulatory environment;
Experience engaging with government agencies and managing non‑dilutive funding programs such as EU or Dutch grants and subsidies;
Understanding of R&D cost centers, capital expenditure‑intensive environments, and technology commercialization challenges;
Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, RA/RC, or an MBA are strongly preferred.
Strong communicator, with the ability to influence across technical and non‑technical audiences;
Analytical and highly structured, but also entrepreneurial and pragmatic;
High emotional intelligence, maturity, and gravitas to represent the company externally;
Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, ambiguous startup environment with lean teams;
Brings trust to a high‑performance team culture.
