We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Core Platform Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building, operating, and improving reliable infrastructure while growing their skills in cloud-native platforms at scale.
You’ll work closely with senior engineers to help roll out, operate, and standardize core platform capabilities such as EKS clusters, HashiCorp Vault, and Argo-based delivery workflows. This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to platform services that enable application teams to deploy and run workloads securely and reliably.
Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and operate workloads on AWS (primarily EKS, with exposure to EC2 and Lambda).
- Contribute to the operation and improvement of EKS clusters across multiple environments.
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Helm, following established patterns and best practices.
- Implement and support monitoring, alerting, and observability using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog.
- Work with Linux-based systems, assisting with debugging, performance tuning, and operational tasks.
- Support the rollout and usage of ArgoCD and Argo Workflows as part of our GitOps approach.
- Collaborate with development teams to help them deploy and operate microservices and event-driven workloads.
- Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and post-incident reviews, learning root-cause analysis techniques.
- Assist in operating HashiCorp Vault, including secret injection, access policies, and integrations with EKS workloads.
- Good understanding of Linux fundamentals, networking basics (DNS, TLS/SSL, HTTP), and containers.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ideally with EKS or another managed Kubernetes offering.
- Familiarity with RBAC, authentication concepts (OIDC), and basic secret management practices.
- Experience working with Terraform and Helm for infrastructure or application deployment.
- Exposure to microservices or event-driven architectures.
- Interest in SRE practices, automation, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Awareness of cloud security best practices and a desire to learn more.
- Scripting or programming experience in Go, Python, or Bash.
- A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from peers and contribute to team goals.
