As a System Architect – Machine Control & Automation, you are responsible for leading the architecture, design, and integration of software and electrical components for high‑precision test and production equipment within advanced medical technology environments. Working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver advanced machine control, accurate measurement systems, and robust electrical architectures for complex mechatronic systems.
Key Responsibilities- Architect complete production lines and machines with a focus on manufacturing efficiency, scalability, and adaptability.
- Structure development activities to support evolving business needs and maintain technological competitiveness through continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and strategic input to project leadership, commercial teams, and management to support informed decision‑making.
- Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to anticipate market demands and align development roadmaps accordingly.
- Define and maintain a robust software architecture strategy that balances short‑ and long‑term objectives while resolving requirement conflicts proactively.
- Work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, product management, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive technical solutions.
- Deliver high‑quality software architecture designs using modern technologies and detailed cost‑benefit evaluations.
- Define system components and interfaces to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and compliance with functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Ensure accurate and up‑to‑date architecture and implementation documentation while maintaining overall solution and product quality.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.
- 10+ years of software development experience, preferably in manufacturing automation or test equipment development.
- 3–4+ years of experience in a Software Architect role.
- Strong knowledge of modern manufacturing equipment design methodologies and related tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with a structured and solution‑oriented mindset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and external partners.
- Experience driving technical decision‑making while balancing quality, cost, timelines, and business priorities.
- Proactive, adaptable, and capable of operating effectively in dynamic and fast‑paced environments.
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities, supporting the growth and development of engineering teams.
- Results‑driven with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering high‑quality solutions.
