Transform cutting-edge video processing algorithms into market-ready mobile SDKs. You will lead the porting and optimization of SL-HDR (Advanced HDR) technologies onto Android and iOS platforms. Your work will enable chip manufacturers and phone makers to integrate high-speed video processing directly into their software stacks, ensuring seamless decoding, encoding, and streaming for the next generation of mobile and AR devices.
- Algorithm Porting: Port existing video processing algorithms to mobile platforms, extending functionality (e.g., recording) and optimizing for market readiness.
- SDK Development: Architect and build robust SDKs for external app developers to implement high-performance video features in consumer products.
- Stream Engineering: Implement and optimize video decoding, encoding, and streaming media, including complex demultiplexing to filter specific metadata.
- GPU Optimization: Leverage mobile GPUs to ensure high-speed, low-latency video processing (e.-g., via OpenGL, Metal, or Vulkan).
- Demonstrator Design: Collaborate with commercial teams to build high-impact demonstrators that showcase technology to global Tier-1 customers.
Environment Setup: Define and document the development environment and implementation architecture for long-term scalability.
Functie-eisen- Experience: 5–10 years in high-performance mobile software engineering (Android/iOS).
- Technical Core: Expert-level C/C++ and Python; deep knowledge of mobile OS internals for video-demanding applications.
- Domain Knowledge: Proven track record in video processing (TV/STB or mobile receivers) and familiarity with standards like SL-HDR.
- Problem Solver: Ability to diagnose and fix performance bottlenecks in real-time video pipelines.
- Education: University degree in Software Engineering or a related technical field.
- Low-Level Optimization: The ability to move beyond high-level APIs and optimize code at the system level to handle processing-heavy video algorithms without draining battery or lagging the UI.
- Architecture Design: Capability to design clean, scalable SDK architectures that are easy for third-party developers to integrate while protecting the core intellectual property (the algorithm).
- Media Pipeline Expertise: Deep understanding of the end-to-end video lifecycle—from stream reception and demultiplexing to decoding, processing, and re-encoding.
