The Manufacturing Engineer enables improvements and resolves issues related to the production process for each new, modified or recurring product. You provide production support and enable an efficient and effective production flow in the factory.

As a Manufacturing Engineer you are going to investigate the production and process issues. You provide technical support to maintain and enhance the speed of the production flow. You will review (in)efficiencies and eliminate waste within the manufacturing process. This is all to deliver high quality products to the clear defined standards. Other tasks your have are:
- Advise on potential rework of out-of-spec products, taking cost and customer interest into account;
- Perform activities to prevent avoidable costs and/or minimise production costs;
- Assist in reducing variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions;
- Support product owners on product manufacturability, on analyzing recurring problems, identify root causes and advise on how to solve those;
- Initiate and organize actions to improve (production) processes, especially in cases of quality problems, rejects etc.;
- Provide manufacturing support in case of equipment problems;
- Leading productivity improvements with project based activities to reduce waste, improve quality & safety and reduce operating costs.
The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with different departments to achieve his goals. So cooperation will be very important in this role. The right candidate for this position will have:
- At least Bachelor degree in Manufacturing, production or Mechanical Engineering or has an equivalent of minimum 8 years of experience;
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in CNC machining manufacturing environment;
- A proficient in understanding technical drawings/models of products and fixturing;
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach;
- To be able to discuss complex engineering ideas in simpler, easy-to-understand language;
- A good command of the English language (written and spoken) (Dutch is not mandatory but appreciated).
