Position Summary
The Finance Manager oversees the accounting, audit, tax and procure to pay processes. In this role you would work closely with Operations, Data Analytics, FP&A and the CFO. The role will manage two team members.
ResponsibilitiesMonth-end close activity
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash, Fixed Assets and Inventory Accounting
- Reconcile and review balance sheet accounts for the assigned processes
- Monthly consolidation process, preparation of financial statements
- Owner of month-end close schedule, coordinate with other teams on the progress and provide updates to all related parties
- Responsible to manage the payroll related processes (payroll journal, bonus, commission, holiday and vacation accruals)
- Responsible for technical accounting processes such as Accruals, Deferred Revenue, Warranty Accounting, Lease Accounting and Intangibles
Audit, Tax, Technical accounting and Reporting
- Leading Group audit by ensuring that the necessary supporting documentation is made available (PBC list)
- Work with the external auditor to meet deadline to file the IFRS Financial Statements of the Dutch entities
- Preparation of IFRS Financial statements
- Prepare accounting memo’s to support accounting treatment, advisor in the company to assess accounting implications in new processes
- Filing of VAT in Germany and Netherlands and Corporate tax returns in United States and Netherlands
- Monthly reporting to our lenders, investor and stakeholders
Processes and systems
- Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls
- Streamline and improve all operations and accounting systems – create scalable systems and processes to support enviolo’s business changes
- Map processes and implement automation or system enhancements (e.g., ERP optimization).
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, customer focus, and operational excellence.
Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two accounting and procure to pay professionals
- Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, business or related subject
- > 10 years of experience in a similar position, within an international organization
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Full-time availability
- Proficient in Excel (including common functions and pivot tables)
- Experience with Office365 suite and PowerBI
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system
- Preferably experience in one of the big 4 accounting firms
- Work independently, execute, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. High standards of accuracy, professional integrity and processes / internal controls
- You live in or close to Amsterdam and have the legal right to work in the EU (we prefer you to work at least 3 days per week from our HQ office location in Amsterdam).
