Job Summary:

The HR Business Partner ensures that all day-to-day people related processes are carried out. This in conformance with business needs and internal/ external requirement, with the main aim to increase organizational performance through people. The HR Business Partner is part of the local sites Team and the International HR team. He/she will be working from both the Breda and Venlo site.

  • Supporting a performance culture to ensure organizational effectiveness;
  • Supporting adequate talent management practices are developed, implemented and carried out to attract, recruit, retain the right talent;
  • Supporting organizational change and integration in a people oriented manner;
  • Ensure the delivery of effective front line HR service/ HR administration in line with corporate and legal requirements.


The HR Business Partner provides support to the Management team and their teams. The ideal candidate is able to work independently and possesses high integrity, a can-do attitude and a strong attention to detail. He/she has a pro-active mentality and is hands-on. His/her curiosity and drive towards continuous improvement as well as the flexibility to meet deadlines will enable a candidate to be successful and to thrive in this role. This role can serve as a career expansion bringing the successful candidate to his/her next career step within Belden in the broadest sense.

  • Is known within the business and is first approached in case of operational HR issues on site;
  • Ensures an efficient execution of HR operation and follows up on HR Year Calendar;
  • Pro-actively helps the business to align employee goals with business goals by proactively contacting both and advises managers and employees in the execution of HR responsibility;
  • Uses specific HR knowledge and proactively advises employees and managers;
  • Deals with questions from managers and employees in a professional way and gathers signals to make improvements;
  • Ensures that people implications are considered by managers by advising them;
  • Ensures that HR processes and tools are aligned with business goals;
  • Is able to manage small projects and lead them to results within agreed timeframe.

  • Excellent knowledge of SAP HCM
  • 2-4 year experience as HR Business Partner in a Manufacturing or Engineering environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in a HR department of putting in place structures, process and credibility
  • Demonstrated experience as a key HR Business Partner in a challenging environment where change is a constant factor
  • Up to date with current country Employment Law Legislation
  • Excellent communicator and influencer
  • Able to work on and with different levels
  • Strategic ability with hands on mentality
  • Excellent knowledge of state-of-the-art HR practices
  • Good computer experience using MS Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products
  • Exemplary on ethics, integrity and confidentiality


  • Relevant education at Bachelors level (e.g. HR, Economics, Business)
