Head of Marketing & Community Engagement

Curiosity is an emerging venture capital firm based in Amsterdam, dedicated to supporting European founders in building AI-first software companies that create value for businesses and society. To lead our community engagement in support of our growing portfolio, we are looking for a:

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to engage and grow our vibrant community of founders, advisors, investors, and other partners. Your efforts will help strengthen the support we offer and expand the value we provide to our portfolio companies. Additionally, you will develop and implement marketing strategies to increase our visibility, promote our brand, and support our day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Community Management:

1. Manage and moderate Curiosity’s online community platforms (e.g., WhatsApp, Notion).
2. Plan and produce engaging online and offline community events for portfolio companies, investors, advisors, and partners, including Portfolio Day and Investor Day.
3. Expand and maintain the “Curiosity Academy” online resource library.
4. Enhance our 18-month portfolio support program and facilitate connections among founders, advisors, and our broader network.
5. Identify and execute additional opportunities to build our community and support our portfolio.
6. Measure and report the outcomes of community engagements.

Marketing:

1. Develop and implement Curiosity’s external communications strategy to expand our reach, build brand awareness, and strengthen our position in the market.
2. Create engaging content across all platforms, including social media, newsletters, our website, and press releases.
3. Support portfolio companies in their PR efforts, including crafting press releases, coordinating media outreach, and amplifying their successes.
4. Ensure consistency, creativity, and alignment with brand values across all marketing channels.
5. Measure and report the outcomes of marketing initiatives, using insights to optimize future campaigns.

Operations:

1. Support the Curiosity investment team with daily operational tasks, including startup intake, office management, and investor relations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor or master’s degree, or equivalent professional experience.
2. Fluency in English, with strong and natural communication skills.
3. 2-5 years of experience in marketing, communication, or technology sectors (especially within startups), ideally in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
4. Interest in venture capital, technology, and the startup ecosystem, with a desire to learn more.
5. Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also being a collaborative team player.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
7. Enjoy working with diverse teams, meeting new people, and building long-lasting professional relationships.
8. Adaptable and flexible, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality marketing and community outcomes.
