Senior Project Engineer - HV

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer High Voltage!

Our client is a leader in the design, implementation, and management of high‑voltage systems. With a strong focus on innovation, they skillfully navigate the complexities of the energy sector, including grid enhancement and sustainable energy strategies. Their expertise plays a crucial role in driving a more environmentally conscious and energy‑efficient future.

As a Senior Project Engineer High Voltage, you are involved from A to Z in the design and realization of high‑voltage substations at project sites. You are technically responsible for the engineering of challenging high‑voltage projects. Depending on the size of the project, you may lead a small team and independently carry out the engineering work.

What this means:

• You are responsible for a wide range of secondary and primary engineering tasks (work packages).
• You are an all‑rounder familiar with all types of high‑voltage installations in the industry, from 110 kV to 380 kV, including the relevant standards and regulations.
• You collaborate with (project) management, clients, various authorities, and suppliers.
• You prepare system documentation, functional and technical specifications. You create proposals, reports, schedules, work descriptions, specifications, and operational overviews.
• You monitor budgets and review and analyze post‑calculations.
• You proactively track project progress, resolve bottlenecks, and report your findings.
• You also perform quality checks and are responsible for project documentation.

What You Bring to Succeed:

• A technical bachelor’s or master’s degree (in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field).
• Extensive experience in technically managing projects.
• Proven and recent work experience with grid operators and/or industrial projects.
• Strong command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Key competencies: analytical, structured, safety‑ and quality‑conscious, and a true team player.
