As an ITPDM Consultant at Valcon, you will play a key role in helping clients achieve their strategic goals through innovative IT solutions.

As part of our IT Project & Delivery Management (ITPDM) capability, you will lead large-scale IT delivery programs, design and implement modern IT solutions, and help clients navigate their unique technology challenges. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that solutions are tailored to the client’s specific needs and deliver real business value.

What will you do?

Your week as an ITPDM Consultant is dynamic and varied. You might spend one day at the client’s office, running workshops to align business needs with IT solutions. Another day, you could be analysing data and collaborating with your team at Valcon HQ or working from home to prepare reports and refine solution designs. Every few weeks, you join a collaboration day at the Valcon office to connect with colleagues, share updates, and learn from each other. Throughout the week, you’ll engage with stakeholders, contribute to project deliverables, and help drive impactful IT strategies.

Your responsibilites will include (but not be limited to):

• Lead complex IT delivery programs, ensuring alignment with the client’s strategic goals.
• Design and deliver end-to-end IT solutions, from architecture to implementation.
• Develop technology departments by building capabilities and implementing governance structures.
• Advise on and implement modern application delivery and data platforms.
• Drive digital transformation by optimising processes and enabling new business models through technology.
• Spot opportunities for new projects and shape them into concrete assignments for Valcon, contributing to the growth of our business.
• Mentor junior consultants, help shape the growth of Valcon’s ITPDM practice, and contribute to thought leadership in the IT consulting space.

No project is the same. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenges, from managing multidisciplinary teams to aligning business and IT strategies. Your leadership and expertise will be key to delivering impactful results.

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience in IT project management, business analysis, or consultancy.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Information Management, or Computer Science).
• Experience in leading teams and managing stakeholders in complex client environments.
• Affinity with technology, such as application development or low‑/high‑code solutions.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong leadership skills and a results‑driven mindset.
• Experience with agile working and program management methodologies.
