ResponsibilitiesAs a Test Engineer at Intelic, you ensure our autonomous systems are reliable, safe, and ready for deployment. You are the vital link between development and forward-deployment, validating that our software performs as expected in real-world conditions.
Your mission is to bridge software, hardware, and the end-user experience. You will define, execute, and document structured tests—from simulation-based integration to full mission validation—providing valuable insights to the product development process.
In practice, your responsibilities include:
- Preparing, configuring, troubleshooting, and deploying Intelic software on unmanned platforms
- Executing and maintaining end-to-end, integration, and acceptance tests to assess reliability, safety, and compliance
- Using SITL (Software In The Loop) and other Simulation software to validate performance under simulated conditions
- Supporting real-world field trials and validation tests under realistic conditions
- Monitoring system behavior during missions, identifying and diagnosing technical issues, and resolving them in real time
- Conducting red team-style stress and contingency tests (e.g., GPS spoofing, communication loss, hostile takeovers)
- Collaborating closely with software engineers, validation managers, and hardware partners to enhance system robustness and product quality
- Maintaining structured documentation and contributing to the refinement of validation procedures and quality assurance standards
- Supporting post-test reporting, data analysis, and corrective action workflows in alignment with Intelic's QA and validation processes
You are a hands‑on systems thinker who connects hardware, software, and mission readiness. You're detail-oriented in testing, confident in the field, and structured in your analysis.
Your skillset includes:
- Demonstrable experience in QA, field testing, system administration, tech support, and/or integration engineering
- Strong troubleshooting skills across embedded systems, networking, and communication protocols
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments, containerized deployments, basic networking, and telemetry or flight control systems (ArduPilot, PX4, or similar)
- Experience with UAVs or other uncrewed systems — either operationally or experimentally
- Ability to plan, execute, and report structured test campaigns with attention to safety and documentation
- Excellent technical writing skills and comfort working in fast-changing environments
- Willingness to travel internationally for integration sprints and field validation projects
- You independently deploy and test Intelic software on multiple unmanned platforms
- You conduct multiple complete test cycles—from SITL to field validation and end‑user acceptance
- You establish consistent reporting standards and contribute to QA process improvements
- Your insights shape critical reliability improvements and inform customer acceptance decisions
- You become a trusted bridge between development, validation, and operations teams
