We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Electrical Tester to join our team, specializing in high-voltage station equipment and systems. The Electrical Tester will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting electrical equipment to ensure proper operation, safety, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a deep understanding of high-voltage systems, attention to detail, and adherence to strict safety protocols.
Tasks
- Perform testing and commissioning of high-voltage equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, protection relays, and bus systems.
- Conduct insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, and high-voltage withstand tests to validate equipment performance.
- Verify the accuracy of protective relays, meters, and control circuits using specialized testing equipment (e.g., Doble, Omicron).
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to perform accurate tests.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in high-voltage systems and recommend corrective actions.
- Document test results and prepare detailed reports for project stakeholders.
- Ensure all testing is compliant with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC) and client requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and site supervisors to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Adhere to safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain and calibrate testing instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
