About the position of Installation, Commissioning & Testing (IC&T) Engineer

Working as an IC&T Engineer at Huisman means playing a key role in delivering our complex offshore systems. You will install, commission, and test everything from 3000‑ton cranes to custom wind turbine installation tools.

Your work may include preparing for new projects, reviewing specifications, and giving feedback to engineering teams. The next week you might be offshore, troubleshooting and testing large electrical and hydraulic systems and demonstrating performance to the client.

You will learn new methods, work toward strict project deadlines, and travel regularly. Huisman offers many opportunities to grow your career and use your strengths.

What do we expect of you?

• Learn and apply the full range of Huisman products, keeping a system‑wide overview and working closely with other disciplines to create integrated solutions;
• Plan ahead and help project teams schedule key reviews, commissioning, and acceptance moments; identify risks early and take action to avoid safety, time, cost, or performance issues;
• Provide technical advice to the client and subcontractors;
• Ensure and supervise all commissioning and testing according to project protocols;
• Maintain contact with the customer regarding ongoing and upcoming activities;
• Oversee and secure timely completion of commissioning and test results according to specifications.

• A Team player, enjoys working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams;
• Flexible, Client oriented and focused.

You have:

• A relevant Technical Bachelor Diploma; Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic or Automotive Technology or Maritime Academy;
• Experience is good however the right mindset is better, we welcome new graduates, experienced engineers, or people looking for a career shift;
• The ability to adapt quickly to new requirements, know how to prioritize and stay effective.

Some practical things we need you to have:

• An EU passport and valid work permit for the Netherlands;
• A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
