About the role

We are seeking a Business Developer to join Etpa’s fast-growing international commercial team in Amsterdam. This role sits at the intersection of market research, data analysis, and client-facing outreach. You will work on multiple projects in parallel and play a key role in identifying and developing new market opportunities across European power markets.

Your responsibilities

• Research and monitor developments in European electricity markets to support Etpa’s market expansion strategy (initial focus on Germany and neighboring markets).
• Collect, structure, and analyze market, regulatory, and commercial data to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
• Identify potential new clients, partners, and market participants based on data-driven insights.
• Proactively reach out to prospective participants to introduce Etpa’s platform and discuss market access opportunities.
• You will also leverage insights from economics, technology, and policy to enhance product marketing and contribute to content for our website.

About you

• A Master’s degree in economics, engineering, energy, data science, or business, preferably at the intersection of business and (energy) engineering.
• 1–4 years of relevant work experience, for example in:
• • Energy markets or trading
  • Market analysis or research
  • Business development or commercial analytics
  • Energy consulting or energy SaaS
• Fluency in English is required; German is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Ability to commute to Etpa’s office in Amsterdam.
• Independent self-starter with a proactive, curious mindset, eager to learn in a fast-moving, international environment.
• Strong analytical skills and affinity with data, markets, and structured problem-solving.
• Interest in electricity markets and the energy transition is essential; experience in power markets is a strong plus.
• A valid work permit for the European Union.
