Are you ready to land this job?
· Take ownership of your assigned kitchen section, ensuring smooth daily operations and consistently high standards of food quality and presentation.
· Lead by example during service, coordinating preparation and ensuring dishes are delivered on time and according to our standards.
· Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with established recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards.
· Support the Head Chef and in planning menus, developing new dishes, and introducing creative ideas that reflect Botanica’s culinary identity.
· Ensure ingredients are used efficiently, minimise food waste, and maintain awareness of food costs and portion control.
· Guide, support, and train Chef de Parties, Commis Chefs, trainees, and apprentices, sharing your knowledge and helping them develop their culinary skills.
· Take responsibility for mise en place, stock levels, ingredient quality, and the correct storage and rotation of products within your section.
· Ensure your section is always clean, organised, and fully equipped for the demands of the business.
· Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients and communicate any shortages, issues, or equipment needs to the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
· Work closely with the kitchen team and other departments to accommodate guest preferences, dietary requirements, and allergies.
· Communicate confidently and professionally with colleagues and, when needed, guests from our iconic open kitchen.
· Ensure compliance with HACCP standards, food safety procedures, and hygiene regulations at all times.
· Use kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, ensuring machinery and tools are maintained in clean and functional condition.
· Prepare delicious meals for your fellow co-hosts and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

· Promote teamwork through clear communication, collaboration, and a hands-on approach to daily operations.
· Embrace ad-hoc duties and unexpected moments where the team comes together to get the job done.
Did you bring everything?
· MBO degree in hospitality or professional culinary education.
· Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role, with the confidence to take on additional responsibilities.
· Strong culinary skills and a passion for high-quality food, seasonal ingredients, and creative food pairings.
· Experience guiding or training junior colleagues, with a natural ability to lead by example and share knowledge.
· A good understanding of food costs, stock management, portion control, and minimising food waste.
· Knowledge of HACCP standards, food safety, and kitchen hygiene procedures.
· A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a drive for continuous improvement.
· Excellent organisational, multitasking, and time management skills, especially during busy service periods.
· A team-oriented attitude, combined with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of your section.
· An outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for hospitality and service excellence.
· Knowledge of English is required; Dutch is preferred.
· EU work permit required; we do not offer housing.
