Front-End Developer

We are the Development team at AFS Energy (10 people total, 7 developers and PO/QA/BA). We are looking for a smart and visually strong junior front end developer to work on our renewable energy trading platform and administration tool. The work involves creating easy to use, beautiful interfaces and interactions with financial markets.

• Foundational understanding of HTML and CSS
• Experience with Javascript frameworks (preferably Vue)
• Eager to work with Vue.js
• Talent for programming and eagerness to learn and make an impact
• Proficiency in English (written & verbal)
• Aptitude for understanding design and design systems
• Residence in the Netherlands and entitled to work in the Netherlands

• A solid team of 7 developers to learn from (25 tech staff total)
• Shared lunch with the team and a chef who prepares hot meals. Good coffee
• No regular overtime, good work-life balance
• Work from home 2 days a week. You can also work remotely for one month per year
• Cool office in the center of Amsterdam (Beursplein 5)
• Weekly drinks on Fridays
• Long-term projects with plenty of room to onboard and learn

We work on two repositories (one is 3 years old, the other 8 years old). Both use PHP 8.3. We will also start a new project this year, your time as a developer will be split between these three projects.
