Tasks
- You will order components for prototypes of pre-production vehicles in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
- Monitoring the on-time delivery in the development warehouse and handling of queries represents a main focus of your activities
- You will act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations
- You will build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications
- You will offer support in the identification of interim solutions in cooperation with the development department in the event of the supplier's lack of delivery capacity
- You will have to do weekly reports directly to the customer
- You will collaborate with international project teams
- You will ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
Qualifications
- You have successfully completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics/business/commercial or equivalent degree are preferred
- You have work experience in Supply-Chain, buyer, procurement or logistics oriented environment
- You have previous working experience in a purchasing team preferably within an automotive or manufacturing environment would be beneficial
- You speak German and English fluently
- You have good communication, negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with strong demonstrated problem solving abilities
- You are able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with team, stakeholders, and suppliers
- You are able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets
- You are understanding of how failure impacts the production, manufacture, and customer order fulfillment
- You are able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations
- You have good knowledge in SAP or other integrated ERP System would be beneficial
- You have advanced knowledge of MS Office tools (with a focus on Excel)
- You’re a team player with a service-oriented working style, and as a self-confident person, you always have an eye for the essentials
