Tasks

Position Objective

The intern supports the team responsible for the testing infrastructure designed for the validation of infotainment and car connect systems, including test cars. This internship is full-time and a minimum commitment of 6 months in duration.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support conducting automotive pre-series testing operations.
• Support the team with the preparation and update of the testing infrastructure
• Performing diagnostics and maintenance of vehicle connectivity systems
• Support for testing teams in validating SW for infotainment and connectivity
• Assist with projects and initiatives related to automated testing, remote data collection, and remote diagnostics
• Support the team in developing support tools for automated testing and remote diagnostics
• Work with team members to complete standard tasks and improved efficiencies of tasks
• Document workflow, existing and new applications, processes, and packages using Jira Confluence
• Assist analysts and application administrators in daily support tasks and projects
• Serve as a team member for cross-functional application implementations and upgrades

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

• Pursuing a bachelors or master’s degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or comparable curriculum.
• Must be at least a Junior in undergraduate studies

Experience:

• Porsche Experience helpful
• Automotive experience helpful
• Software Development experience helpful
• Administrative experience helpful
• SQL and database skills is a plus
• Atlassian Confluence & Jira is a plus
• Python, JavaScript, C# .NET, or Java is a plus
• Cloud and Big Data experience is a plus
• Embedded systems, C/C++ experience is a plus
• 3D design, 3D printing experience is a plus
• Basics of electronic circuits, PCB design, soldering is a plus

The pay range for this position is $19 - $21 per hour, dependent on education status.

Physical requirements

• Comfortable with physical exertion for 3 – 5 hour intervals
• Comfortable standing and walking for 3 – 5 hour intervals
• Ability to travel long distances in aircraft or via automobile (5+ hours)
• This job operates in a test bench and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, move, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift.
