Worldwide, over 30 million people with diabetes are insulin dependent. This means they need insulin to manage their blood glucose levels. They can either give themselves multiple daily injections or use an insulin pump, which administers insulin on a continuous basis around the clock.

ViCentra was founded in 2013 in the Netherlands, and while we still call Utrecht our home, we’ve now branched out to France and Germany, too. We’re currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our talented ViCentra family in Utrecht, The Netherlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a varied, interesting role and work within a dynamic, innovative culture; rapidly challenging and broadening your skills and developing your career.
The position
As a Financial Analyst at ViCentra, you will be an integral part of a small, dynamic finance team. You will play a crucial role in supporting the financial decision-making process by compiling, analysing and reporting clear, consistent and insightful financial and non-financial information to drive business performance across all business departments.
Your role will cover various responsibilities including business performance tracking, project cost control, budgetary control, FP&A including forecast and budget preparation, in addition to ad-hoc analysis including business cases and assisting with grant applications. In this position, you will work hand in hand with department heads in promoting understanding of the financial business performance, ensuring budget compliance and agreeing action plans to manage financial risks and pursue opportunities.
You will also become the recognized expert in all financial systems with regards to database logic, data extraction and interrogation, and be an active promoter in driving standards of financial and non-financial data quality.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years work experience as a financial data analyst, management accounting or comparable role.
- Proven experience of cost accounting, management information reporting, analysis and preparation of budgets and financial projections.
- Experience and effectiveness in working, reporting and communicating in an international and multicultural environment to Senior Management level.
- Experience in a manufacturing, growth/scaling company.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Affinity with ERP systems.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Dutch language skills are an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
- A flexible working attitude and be someone who is willing to go the extra mile to contribute to great teamwork.
- A positive mindset, being able to think in opportunities rather than problems.
- Ability to focus not only on the day-to-day aspect but also on process improvements.
- Pro-active approach with strong time-management skills.
