Homerun is a hiring and people platform designed for modern teams. We’re a small business too – just 26 people in total. We do things our own way — or what we believe is the right way.
There are three different products that together form the Homerun platform:
- Homerun ATS allows teams to keep track of candidates, review applications together, keep candidates in the loop and plan interviews all from one organized app.
- Homerun HR is all about managing that team. This is everything from employee data to absence management.
- Performance management helps teams build structured feedback frameworks, run performance review cycles, and set up career progression matrixes.
Homerun is hugely successful in The Netherlands and now it’s time to let the entire world know we exist.
We’re looking for a Sales Executive to join our Commercial team and help us turn interest into customers.
You’ll work with SMB and mid‑market HR teams, guiding them from first conversation through to becoming happy customers. A big part of your role will be running thoughtful, engaging demos, while also building your own pipeline through targeted outbound outreach to our ideal customers. As a key member of the Commercial team, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue and improving demo‑to‑close performance.
You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you’re curious, motivated, and excited to learn how to connect with people and help them make the right decision.
What You’ll Be Doing- Own the full sales cycle from first touch to close for SMB and mid‑market HR teams.
- Run discovery calls to understand how teams hire, where they struggle, and what they’re currently using.
- Deliver tailored product demos to recruiters, hiring managers, and HR leads with a focus on conversion.
- Qualify inbound leads and learn how to prioritise high‑intent opportunities.
- Build your own pipeline through outbound (email, LinkedIn, phone and other channels).
- Handle objections confidently and guide prospects through the buying and decision‑making process.
- Drive trial‑to‑paid conversion and support prospects through onboarding considerations.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing and Customer Success to share insights on prospects, lost deals, and churn drivers.
- Maintain accurate CRM data to ensure pipeline visibility.
- Experience with SaaS or HR tech (ATS tools).
- Experience with sales engagement and prospecting tools.
- Familiarity with CRM or sales tools (Ideally HubSpot, Intercom, Amplemarket).
- Ability to analyse pipeline data and optimise performance.
- Additional languages, preferably Dutch (others are also a plus).
- Enjoy working in a startup/scale‑up environment.
Have some experience in sales, customer‑facing roles, or SaaS (roughly 2–3 years is great, but we care more about how you work than exact years).
You’re curious and open‑minded – you want to get to know the product and the Homerun team. There are a lot of users and team members, all with their own story and you’d love to hear them all.
You’re a helpful problem solver – you like to help others and you’re good at thinking in solutions. You also don’t shy away from a problem, but gladly tackle it with positivity and action.
You want to learn more about the world of tech – it's a whole new world where things move fast and are ever changing.
You’re results‑driven – you care about hitting targets and improving conversion metrics.
You like taking ownership, but also know when to ask for help.
You’re a people person – you’re not shy about video calls or in‑person meetings.
You’re a team player – you like working with others and are comfortable working on your own.
You’re positive and confident – you have a positive attitude, you like life the sunny side up, your glass is half full and you’re not afraid to tell nay‑sayers.
You’re comfortable owning deals end‑to‑end, from discovery to close.
You’re fluent in written and spoken English – we’re an international team with international users so we generally speak and write in English.
You’re motivated to improve – you like getting better at what you do.
You’re a strong communicator and very precise – you have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
