The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has the position of Outlet Manager-Koepelcafé available.
What are my responsibilities?
As the Koepelcafé Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth service and the effective supervision of ambassadors. You will be responsible for promoting the café, managing inventories, and maintaining compliance with local laws and property policies. Your role involves overseeing beverage control, managing costs, and ensuring portion control, while also adhering to budget goals and controlling expenses. You will assist with menu planning and develop promotions to enhance the café experience. During peak periods, you will be hands-on with the team, providing guidance and support to ensure operational efficiency.
You will lead by example, training ambassadors on service standards, upselling techniques, and liquor control policies. Regularly communicating expectations and providing feedback, you will maintain a positive and effective team dynamic. Your focus will always be on guest satisfaction, addressing complaints promptly and empowering your team to deliver exceptional service. You will also manage staffing levels and ensure training programs are in place to meet departmental goals. By reinforcing food handling and sanitation standards, you will ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

Native Dutch proficiency and excellent English skills are required for this role.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You have the ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
You are familiar with the Amsterdam area and have a good understanding of its local culture and environment.

A unique opportunity is awaiting you in the city center of one of the most dynamic markets in Europe. We are excited that the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is currently undergoing a full transformation. A major investment has been made in the hotel which will result in completely renovated guest rooms and public areas, including a brand-new bar, restaurant and rooftop bar & terrace. The hotel will expand from 402 to 500 rooms and an additional conference center will be constructed. The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has a very high focus on sustainability and will aim to become an enhancement to the city of Amsterdam.
