As Manager, Talent & Consulting Programs, you will play a central role in supporting the consulting population and partnering with senior consulting leaders on staffing, development, performance, and broader talent priorities.
You will act as a trusted advisor to both employees and leadership, helping to balance business needs with individual development and career aspirations. This is a highly visible role that combines strategic talent management with operational execution and offers significant exposure across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesStaffing & Workforce Planning
- Lead staffing discussions for assigned consulting populations.
- Partner with consulting leaders to understand project requirements and future staffing needs.
- Balance client demands, consultant development goals, utilization targets, and retention considerations when making staffing recommendations.
- Monitor consultant availability, capacity, utilization, and workload sustainability.
- Maintain oversight of staffing data, reporting, and workforce planning insights.
- Collaborate with colleagues across offices and regions to support global staffing requirements.
Talent Management & Career Development
- Serve as the primary talent advisor for an assigned consultant population.
- Build strong and trusted relationships through regular coaching and career conversations.
- Support consultants in defining development objectives and long-term career goals.
- Provide guidance on career progression, readiness for promotion, and professional growth opportunities.
- Identify development needs and ensure appropriate support and opportunities are in place.
- Partner with leaders to support high‑potential talent and individuals requiring additional development.
Performance & Promotion Management
- Facilitate performance management processes and talent review discussions.
- Review feedback to ensure it is clear, constructive, and actionable.
- Support promotion processes, including preparation, calibration, and decision‑making discussions.
- Help leaders address performance concerns and establish effective development plans.
- Monitor talent risks and retention concerns within your consulting cohorts.
Employee Support & Career Flexibility
- Act as a key point of contact for employees navigating important career and life events.
- Support transfers, leave requests, educational opportunities, and other flexibility programs.
- Partner with HR colleagues to ensure appropriate guidance, approvals, and policy compliance.
- Help employees navigate transitions while balancing business requirements and employee needs.
Leadership Advisory
- Advise consulting leaders on talent, performance, engagement, development, and retention matters.
- Provide data‑driven insights and recommendations to support decision‑making.
- Partner on employee relations and sensitive people matters when required.
- Help leaders identify and address talent gaps, succession risks, and development opportunities.
- Influence decisions that contribute to both employee success and business performance.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead or support talent‑related strategic initiatives and projects.
- Contribute to the enhancement of talent programs, processes, and employee experience initiatives.
- Analyze workforce and talent data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement across staffing, talent management, and professional development activities.
You are a relationship‑oriented and commercially minded talent professional who enjoys working with ambitious, high‑performing individuals and senior stakeholders.
You will likely bring:
- Experience within Talent Management, HR, Professional Development, Staffing, Workforce Planning, or HR Business Partnering.
- Experience in a consulting, professional services, financial services, legal, or similarly high‑performance environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- The ability to build credibility with employees and senior leaders alike.
- Excellent coaching, communication, and relationship‑building capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into action.
- Sound judgment and the ability to manage highly confidential matters with discretion.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced environment.
