Junior Legal Counsel

AFS Energy is growing, and so is the Legal & Compliance team. We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Legal Counsel to support the team.

• Participate in the analysis of (new) prospects to ensure that KYC/CDD documentation meets our standards and to assess the overall risk of their business model

• Support the business with drafting, analysing and negotiating various (international) contracts

• Participate in a framework to conduct compliance checks against laws and regulations before executing a transaction, and arrange communication with the Energy department when their advice is needed

• Update, develop and/or review compliance and legal policies

• Provide support to our Energy department on potential clients regarding AFS acceptance policies

• Provide any other legal and compliance support when required

• Master's degree in Law

• At least 1-2 years of experience as a corporate lawyer in a commercial environment or law firm

• Proactive and hands-on approach

• Strong communication and analytical skills

• Excellent communication in English and Dutch (Spanish and/or Italian preferred)

• Team player who works independently and in a structured manner, is operationally oriented and has a critical mindset

• A full-time (40 hours) on-site job at the unique workplace on the Stock Exchange floor in Amsterdam
