Statutory Accountant

Join our team as a Statutory Accountant - Lotteries APAC, responsible for overseeing Lottery operations in the APAC region.

For this position, we require a Mandarin speaker.

1. Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
2. Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close for multiple legal entities.
3. Provide timely reports to multiple stakeholders monthly.
4. Responsible for preparation of multiple annual financial statements and having the statutory audits completed.
5. Responsible for the direct and indirect tax compliance of the various entities.
6. Responsible for accurate and efficient financial analysis and reporting for the Lottery Division.
7. Responsible directly for accounts payables, accounts receivable and general ledger activities for the Lotteries operational, holding entities along with outsource service partner.
8. Assess and monitor compliance with corporate policies and internal controls.
9. Supports budget and forecasting activities.
10. Maintain the banking and treasury relationships.
11. Support sales and FP&A in bidding for new contracts and further advising on revenue and cost recognition based on USGAAP.
12. Coordinate with corporate accounting/sales for proper recognition of revenue, cost of sales, inventory, and assets.
13. Advise regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
14. Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the legal entities.
15. Drive special projects and workflow process improvements.

• Good Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong result orientation and pro-activity with a high degree of customer orientation.
• Strong financial controlling and general ledger accounting skills.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills to synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions.
• University degree in Business Administration / Finance / Controlling / Economics.
• 4-6 years of work experience.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
• Flexible in working hours to cover APAC region in CET time zone.
