The role of Database Engineer

As a Database Engineer in our team:

• Do you see large amounts of data and complex systems as a challenge;
• Switch effortlessly between traditional databases such as DB2 and modern open-source databases such as Postgres;
• Are cloud migrations a piece of cake for you;
• You have a vision of the developments within Enterprise IT and move with them

You know that success depends on connecting all parties involved, even when working from home. You advise, think critically and share your opinions in understandable language. Involving stakeholders and team members in your work and ideas comes easily to you.

What we look for in you

At ICU, it is all about who you are. What motivates you, how do you prefer to work, what challenges do you enjoy, and what values are important to you? Tell us about your experience and knowledge with:

• Managing different databases (DB2 LUW, Postgres);
• SQL;
• Migrations, performance, backups and (disaster) recovery;
• Scrum en/oragile;
• Cloud technologies;
• Managing secure and reliable data flows.

In addition, you have:

• HBO working and thinking level;
• Relevant experience in an Enterprise environment;
• The ability to bring people into your solutions
• Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

• Salary between €4,000 and €5,000 gross, depending on your experience;
