Role DescriptionThis role is responsible for managing the full life cycle of packaging related projects, from development through implementation. The position supports European manufacturing sites with a strong focus on standardization, continuous improvement, and issue resolution. Close collaboration with cross functional teams and production sites is essential.
Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and deliver packaging projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Lead cross functional project teams and ensure effective project governance.
- Support manufacturing sites with implementation of new packaging standards and process changes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packaging efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Review packaging material specifications and assess technical and financial impact.
- Lead or support investigations related to major packaging quality issues.
- Act as interface between manufacturing sites and global departments such as Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, R and D, Procurement, and Marketing.
- Collaborate with external suppliers of packaging materials and equipment.
- Coach production and engineering teams to increase packaging knowledge and awareness.
- Provide regular project status reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Minimum of five years relevant project management experience
- Bachelor or master degree in a relevant field such as Packaging Systems or Material Science
- Extensive knowledge of packaging and packaging material technology
- Strong understanding of packaging industry trends, technologies, and key players
- Solid understanding of material performance, testing methods, and manufacturing technologies
- Excellent project management skills and experience with MS Project or similar tools
- Strong knowledge of GMP requirements
- Good understanding of regulatory guidance including FDA and EMA
- Strong scientific and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate across functions and align stakeholders
- Willingness to travel up to thirty percent of the time
