The Stripes Restaurant is the only upscale dining experience inside Schiphol Airport. We feature a menu focused on grill dishes from the famous Josper Grill, inspired by the Dutch culture an sceneries. The Stripes restaurant is part of the Atrium, which also includes room service and The Gate bar. We offer a 24 hour in room dining service, open all seven days of the week. Additionally, The Gate bar is the heart of the hotel, ideal for a quick meeting, lunch or night cap. The bar's menu reflects the international travelers it hosts; combining Asian cuisine with reinvented Sheraton classics. A versatile position for which we are seeking for a passionate supervisor with a background in restaurant management, to join our team (full-time).
Main responsibilities:
- You will work closely, and assist the Restaurant manager and other supervisors in the day to day operations of the Stripes restaurant, The Gate bar and room service. Supervising both front and back of house operations.
- Maintain an exquisite guest service, and lead staff to do the same. Up-selling all menu items to maximize food & beverage revenue, and being able to resolve any guest compliment within a professional manner.
- We are one big team, helping out others is a must – ‘Teamwork Makes The Dream Work’
- Accomplish change, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to achieve improvement.
- Consistent achievement of the service standards and quality.
- You follow all the safety and security policies and procedures of the company.
- Complete opening and/or closing duties.
Key personality traits and skills:
- You have a kind knowledge of all F&B standards, service, and products. You’re able to demonstrate hygiene codes correctly and are able to show safe us of all materials/equipment.
- You have strong communication skills and are a great team player.
- You are a people person, with a high passion for the hospitality industry and delivering exceptional service.
- You’re fluent in English, Dutch and/or any other language is appreciated.
- You are flexible; all days of the week and on holidays.
