Our customers and stakeholders' digital aspirations are at the core of what we do. We constantly strive to make tomorrow better than today. As a member of our development team, you play a pivotal role in driving our customers' growth. Collaborating closely with our business stakeholders, you take charge of managing the backlog of initiatives and epics that our team is dedicated to. You serve as the bridge between our customers' needs and the technology solutions we provide, adept at interpreting requirements from both sides.
As a Solution Consultant, you vigorously ensure concrete changes and improvements to the API platform. Your main activities are to foresee, recognize and translate the needs of the business into solutions fitting within the target architecture. More concretely, this means that you translate business requirements into detailed user stories for the development team, keeping the interests of both the customer and PostNL in mind. You work with the team to deliver the new functionalities and communicate them to the stakeholders. You stay abreast of new developments and look for opportunities to further develop the platform.
Where do you come to work?
At the Digital IT department, we are part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary Agile team comprising approximately 10 talented individuals. Our primary focus is on modern technical customer integration capabilities. We take pride in realizing digital customer interaction and supporting the underlying commercial processes. Collaboration is key, as we work closely with all PostNL business units to deliver a unified PostNL customer experience across various channels and services. Our mission is to provide high-quality IT solutions that cater to diverse needs and adapt to the ever-changing landscape. The world around us is evolving rapidly, and we are committed to staying ahead of the curve to better serve our customers. As a result, we are well-prepared to respond swiftly to new digital requests, requirements, and opportunities emerging from the market. This will get you excited
• Working with initiatives and epic owners working on their vision, translating this into a roadmap, and working with your team on its realization.
• Arranging and completing Agile (Scrum) meetings such as refinement, sprint planning, review, and retrospective.
• Making a big impact, among other things by daring to make important choices in the field of planning and feasibility. But also daring to say "NO".
• Inspiring and motivating the development team. You like to spar about the value of epics, and features and wonder how you can divide them into functional user stories in the most valuable way or what the best solution is to realize those user stories.
You are good at listening to others, you know what our customers and stakeholders want and you can give them valuable advice in achieving their digital ambitions. You have experience in the digital industry and are therefore a real sparring partner for our customers and business stakeholders. You can easily make the translation to developers in your team and they can count on perfect planning every day because organizing is second nature to you.
• Minimum HBO work and thinking level
• Basic understanding of the Dutch language (A2-Level)
• You have 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
• Strong communicator (both to customer and team).
• You are good at defining requirements, analyzing and modeling business processes
• Analytically strong and able to understand complex processes
• You have organizational skills and are service oriented
• You have knowledge of APIs and the world around them. You can work with the well-known API tooling such as Postman.

• This is a position with a salary up to a maximum of € 6.060 gross per month based on a full-time contract of 37 hours;
• 8% vacation pay and 25 vacation days if you work full-time;

You work together with the team to design the new functionalities and to guide the team while communicating with the relevant stakeholders. You stay informed of new developments and look for improvement opportunities.
