They deliver clean fuels and related services to the shipping industry and industrial customers globally. The company is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and is a leader in supplying Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquefied Bio Methane (LBM) to industrial and maritime clients. These fuels are cleaner alternatives to oil-based products.
The world is rapidly transitioning from a fossil-fuel based economy towards a renewable and sustainable economy. Our client’s mission is to contribute to a cleaner future by supplying LNG and LBM today, and hydrogen-derived fuels in the future to both shipping and industry. They currently operate a fleet of bunker vessels and shore-based infrastructure and their fleet and international customer base is continuously expanding.
To support the fast-paced growth, Titan is hiring a General Counsel (this vacancy) and a Legal Counsel. In the significantly growing organization, there will be ample opportunities for personal growth and expanding the responsibilities of this position.
As a General Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the management and the business. You will ensure that the business activities with legal and contractual requirements are complied with in accordance with local and international laws and regulations. In close contact with both Directors, you function as corporate secretary for the firm. You will be a trusted advisor, thinking along on a strategic level. Also, you will be negotiating, drafting commercial contracts, particularly related to sales and procurement. You will be supported by the Legal Counsel of the team.
• Completed a WO master degree in (Dutch) law and preferably in corporate or contract law (English law);
• Around 10 years of relevant work experience as a legal professional at a law firm and/or as a legal counsel in a relevant industry;
• Thorough knowledge of and passion for contract law and corporate law;
• Experience in the energy, gas or biogas industry is a plus;
• An analytically strong, results-oriented, independent and pragmatic attitude;
• Excellent oral and written command of the English language and preferably Dutch.
• Being a trusted advisor and think along on a strategic level within and truly international environment and at the same time make an impact on climate change.
• Working close to and with the Board as a corporate secretary.
