Role & ResponsibilitiesStep into a pivotal role where your technical expertise will drive real-world solutions. As part of our expansive team, your main task will be to interpret conceptual designs prepared by others. You’ll transform conceptual designs into precise layouts and detailed drawings that meet rigorous project specifications. You’ll collaborate with fellow technical professionals, and engage directly with suppliers and contractors to resolve complex challenges – always aligned with the project engineer’s vision. This is more than drafting – it’s engineering with purpose, precision, and impact.
Here are some of the things you’ll be working on:- Work as part of our international project team to produce 2D and 3D arrangement drawings according to EMS-Tech Inc. Standards and basic design specifications.
- Produce 2D and 3D sales related drawings and designs, based on existing or new concepts to suit customer needs.
- Prepare and check drawing details, perform detailed layouts, and verify drawing accuracy.
- Communicate effectively and accurately with other design team members in other EMS-Tech offices.
- Support the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Sales group as required in various projects or proposals, from basic layout through to end product.
- MBO or HBO Diploma (minimum MBO-3 / MBO-4), mechanical design, engineering. Experience in the fields of bulk materials handling and large machine design is preferred.
- Experience with CAD 2-D and 3-D software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks preferred).
- Previous experience with estimating, steel construction and calculating steel weights would be an asset.
- Knowledge of technical norms, standards, and documentation.
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in Dutch and English.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
