Our mission is to accelerate the reduction in Europe’s reliance on fossil fuels, and we have already established a portfolio of onshore wind and solar projects. At the end of 2023 we finished construction of our first solar park and windfarm, which are now exporting power.
To have the biggest impact, we target markets that are underserved by capital and renewable expertise, by a team with a long history in successful development and construction of major renewable projects.
We are now seeking a Project Finance Manager who will lead financing for assigned projects, conduct financial assessments of potential opportunities, assist in financial and commercial due diligence, and provide ongoing project finance support at various stages of the project lifecycle.
What you will do:
Project Financing
- Lead financial structuring of bid proposals for tenders.
- Contribute to negotiations of agreements such as MoUs, JDAs, and PPAs.
- Provide ongoing project finance support throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial Modelling
- Conduct financial modelling and analytical support for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess financial returns of projects including under IFRS.
- Advise on financial engineering schemes to improve project economics.
Due Diligence
- Undertake necessary due diligence requirements and risk analysis.
- Manage lenders' credit approval process and be the focal point of contact for lenders.
Materials and Presentations
- Draft investment memorandums and contribute to internal/external presentations.
- Review financial and legal structuring including tax matters.
Lenders/Debt Investors Process
- Lead market sounding and debt raising processes.
- Nurture relationships with lenders and support proposal selection and preparation.
Documentation (Transaction Documents)
- Review legal due diligence and assist in structuring project documentation.
- Support the legal team in closing transactions.
Valuation
- Utilize valuation tools for different project types and stages.
- Lead valuation processes for new opportunities.
Portfolio Management
- Support the corporate finance team in managing equity and debt drawdown requests.
- Monitor project and portfolio financial performance and compliance.
- Assist in internal audits and examinations of portfolios.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or engineering.
- Master’s degree in finance or equivalent qualification.
- More than 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in renewables power generation.
- Good understanding of IFRS, accounting, and financial modelling skills.
- More than 2 years of experience in a lead role.
- Understanding of power generation technologies and key business drivers.
- Knowledge of corporate tax and business contracts.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Intermediate-level knowledge of project finance structuring, due diligence, and documentation.
- Expertise in MS Office Suite and financial modelling including VBA.
