Looking to make an impact at one of the world’s leading LGBTQ+ platforms? ROMEO is hiring a hands‑on Marketing Communication & Acquisition Manager who thrives on growing global audiences and crafting compelling, inclusive stories.
Your Key Responsibilities- Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, you will lead marketing communication strategy across digital, social, and in‑app touchpoints
- Plan and execute performance‑based user acquisition campaigns (Meta, Google, etc.)
- Optimize campaigns for cost‑effective growth and long‑term retention
- Develop and manage compelling content for blogs, newsletters, app messages, and campaigns
- Own social media channels: content planning, publishing, and community engagement
- Collaborate with the Communications team to support product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns
- Ensure all messaging balances fun, sexy, inclusive language with platform content policies
- Spot trends in LGBTQ+ culture to inspire timely, creative campaigns
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Support teams to align messaging and strategy
- 5+ years experience in marketing communication and digital growth
- Strong analytical skills, you love metrics, insights, and optimization
- Proven track record in user acquisition and setting up paid media campaigns
- Familiarity with funnel optimization and re‑engagement campaigns
- Knowledge of SEO, ASO, and digital content best practices
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later, or similar) to plan, schedule, and track content performance
- Excellent storytelling, editorial, and copywriting skills
- Open‑minded and respectful toward sex‑positive content
- Fluency in English is required; additional skills in German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or French are a plus
- Full‑time position in our centrally located HQ in Amsterdam near Central Station with stunning city views
- You start with a 12‑month temporary contract (with the intention of longer term)
- Salary range €4,500 - €5,000 bruto per month (excl. Holiday pay), depending on past experience
