Your key responsibilities:
As Business Consultant you:
- Tackle complex business challenges based on a deep understanding of our strategy, organisation and external trends and developments
- Deliver advice to support decision making and enable execution – highlighting the qualitative and quantitative impact of different scenarios
- Design and co-create methods and tooling to empower senior stakeholders to prioritise and deliver on their purpose
- Translate change demands into implementable solutions and ensure the acceptance
- Bring an outside perspective on development of craftsmanship and methodology and stay up to date with key trends and developments relevant for our industry
- Act as a expert who contributes to the development of the relevant expertise
- Create alignment across different areas of the bank on strategic themes
What we are looking for
You're an experienced consultant with excellent problem solving skills, are analytical and able to bring structure to complex business issues; you know how to achieve goals in a large complex organisation; you build and maintain relationships with your senior stakeholders; you act strategically.
Specific skills sought include:
- Ability to act autonomously, think and act out of the box and take accountability
- Strong resilience; ability to navigate through ambiguity
- Ability to take responsibility and make impact based on facts and data; have the courage to question and make decisions
- Strong organisational sensitivity; deep understanding of the underlying issues, opportunities and dynamics of the organisation
- A strong and persuasive communicator
- Motivated to provide training and coaching on the job to fellow consultants within ING, initiates and contributes to the consulting community and the Transformation Office
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with a wide range of senior stakeholders across the organisation – leading to high impact/urgency assignments for self and team

Track record and experience
- Master’s degree
- 5-10 years’ professional experience in management consultancy (ideally big 4), bringing a thorough understanding of consultancy methodologies and functional / technical subject matter expertise relevant to ING
- Is able to deliver individually and/or by managing a medium sized team
- Strong affinity with agile way of working
- Team player
- Experience in financial sector, bringing knowledge and experience of financial industry activities, processes, key products, support tools
- Excellent level of English (written and spoken), Dutch is a advantage
