As Head Bartender you will be responsible to oversee the smooth operation of the bar operation and be part of an energetic team that is changing the game. You will also manage the quality and consumption of drinks and ingredients whilst maintaining high standards and performance. Whilst anticipating the needs of our guests at all times our team aspect is critical to the succes of the F&B space. Guest Experience:
Deliver warm, personal, and intuitive service that reflects the character of the neighbourhood and hotel;
Encourage the team to share local stories, recommendations, and authentic connections with guests;
Create an atmosphere where guests feel like locals rather than tourists;
Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism, empathy, and confidence.
Leadership:
Lead, coach, and motivate the bartender team during shifts;
Set the tone for service standards, teamwork, and energy on the floor;
Support onboarding and training of new team members;
Foster a culture of curiosity, inclusiveness, and pride in the local community.
Operations:
Supervise bar operations of our terrace, restaurant and Gold bar;
Ensure smooth service flow, cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with hygiene standards & Indigo brand standards;
Coordinate closely with the service team;
Assist with inventory control, ordering, and stock management;
Implement new beverage menu's and maintain consistency;
Monitor quality, consistency, and efficiency throughout service periods.
Commercial:
Support upselling initiatives through authentic recommendations and product knowledge;
Contribute ideas for local collaborations, seasonal activations, and neighbourhood partnerships;
Help drive guest satisfaction, repeat business, and positive reviews.
Previous experience as a head bartender or senior service role in hospitality;
Experience in boutique hotels, lifestyle hospitality, or independent restaurants is highly preferred;
Strong understanding beverage, and service operations;
Experience leading teams in fast-paced environments;
Fluent in Dutch and English;
In possession of a Social Responsibility certificate (big plus);
Good knowledge of HACCP standards.
