Unicorn Hospitality B.V. Is looking for a Part-time Hotel Host to join our team at Amsterdam Sloterdijk. As the face of our aparthotel, you'll play a key role in ensuring every guest enjoys a comfortable, seamless, and enjoyable stay.
(Shift pattern Sunday & Monday - 1400 to 2200hours + incidental back up shifts to cover holidays or illness)
About the Role
As a Hotel Host, you are responsible for the day-to-day guest experience and the smooth operation of the property. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensure the hotel always looks its best, and work closely with housekeeping and maintenance to maintain our high standards.
Your responsibilities include:
Welcoming guests and providing a warm, professional first impression.
Assisting guests with the check-in and check-out process.
Providing excellent customer service and responding to guest requests and questions.
Sharing local recommendations for restaurants, attractions, and transportation.
Performing daily quality inspections of guest rooms and public areas.
Reporting maintenance issues and following up when needed.
Handling light administrative tasks and guest communication.
Ensuring the property remains clean, safe, and well-presented at all times.
Supporting the daily hotel operation and taking initiative whenever needed.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and naturally takes ownership.
You are:
Friendly, approachable, and service-oriented.
Independent and proactive.
Well-organized with strong attention to detail.
Flexible and willing to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
Able to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage but not required.
Living in or willing to commute to Amsterdam.
Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, tourism, or customer service is a plus, but not essential. We value attitude and personality just as much as experience.
