We are looking for a Business Process Engineer (BPE) in the Netherlands region for an international organization active in complex banking operations. This company operates at the intersection of retail and corporate banking, digital transformation, and operational excellence, focusing on streamlining core processes such as account onboarding, loan origination, payments, and compliance.
As a Business Process Engineer (BPE) in the Netherlands region, you will be the key link between business, IT, and operations. You will analyze, design, and optimize end-to-end processes, ensuring efficiency, customer-centricity, and strategic alignment. You will work closely with various teams to map "as-is" processes and translate them into "to-be" models, supporting transformation initiatives that reduce risk and deliver measurable business value.
Your RoleAnalyze and document existing ("as-is") banking processes across Retail, Corporate, and Digital Banking.
Design and improve lean, effective ("to-be") processes that enhance service delivery, reduce operational risk, and align with strategic objectives and regulations.
Lead and coordinate process design initiatives, including data models, dashboards, and system enhancement implementations.
Ensure all process designs meet internal controls and regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC, AML, GDPR).
Collaborate with Product Owners, IT, and Engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of changes.
Apply data and automation technologies (RPA, OCR, workflow tools) to drive efficiency.
Monitor and evaluate process performance, and take corrective actions when needed.
Introduce innovation and best practices while effectively communicating process changes across the organization.

Skills & QualificationsStrong understanding of banking products and operations (current accounts, credit cards, lending, payments, treasury, trade finance).
Experience in process reengineering within regulated financial institutions.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, KYC/AML, FATCA, PSD2, and local banking regulations.
Familiarity with banking platforms (Temenos, SWIFT, Bloomberg) and integrations with CRM, ECM, and digital channels.
Experience with process modeling tools (Visio, ARIS, Signavio) and methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or BPMN.
Exposure to digital transformation, RPA, and AI/ML is a plus.
Data-driven approach and strong problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
Salary indication: €4,500 - €6,500 per month based on 40 hours, depending on experience and education level
