If yes, this role is made for you! As F&D Supervisor at Restaurant JAQ, you will be the driving force behind our evening operations, making sure every guest leaves with a smile and every service runs smoothly.
What to expect
In this role, you are operationally responsible for supervising the daily shifts at Restaurant JAQ. You lead by example on the floor, ensure team alignment, and maintain Hilton’s high service standards.
You will handle scheduling, daily briefings, and smooth communication between the kitchen, bar, and service team. You also support the Venue Manager in training, evaluating, and coaching the team, and step in when needed to manage the outlet independently. Your responsibilities include:
Supervising all working shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Handling scheduling, attendance, and managing sick leave and replacements.
Supporting the Venue Manager with staff training, motivation, and development.
Overseeing ordering and stock control in cooperation with the Chef and Bar Supervisor.
Responding accurately to daily challenges and opportunities, ensuring service excellence.
Acting as the key contact for both team and guests during your shift.
Working hours are usually between 14:00 and 00:00, and a shift is normally 8 hours.
Who are you?
You are a confident and proactive hospitality professional with strong leadership and communication skills. You know how to balance operational performance with genuine team engagement, and you inspire others to bring out their best. You recognize yourself in the following:
Several years of experience in Food & Beverage or restaurant management, preferably in a similar supervisory role.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Hands-on, with a “lead by example” mentality.
Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus; more languages are welcome!).
Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
Availability to work flexible hours, mostly in the evening, including weekends and holidays.
Basic food safety and HACCP knowledge is required; Hilton will provide further training where needed.

A fulltime contract (38 hours per week)
Salary in salary scale VI of the Horeca collective labor agreement.
25 paid holiday days per full year (on the basis of 38 hours per week)
Travel allowance according to the Hilton Rotterdam scheme, if you live further than 5km away from the hotel.
