Climate change. A big problem that calls for a whole lot of small solutions. And those small solutions are often hidden deep within gigantic datasets. Can you uncover them? This is your chance, as an experienced Data Scientist, to make your mark (or should we say your databrick) in solving one of the greatest challenges of our time.
Cool, tell me more!
Almost half of all energy consumption within Europe goes towards heating or cooling buildings. Think of air conditioners, heating systems, ventilation units, and all kinds of complex industrial applications. This company knows better than anyone that there's a smarter way to do this. That's why they've long been committed to developing more efficient solutions, and now they could really use your help.
What can I do?
As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll help your technical colleagues create even better, cleaner, more efficient, and greener solutions. And you'll do that, you guessed it, with data. There's certainly no shortage of that here. From sensor data from existing installations to product tests, production data, and even full LCAs, you'll bring order to the chaos and discover patterns others might overlook. You'll train AI models that predict how products perform or how production processes can be optimized, and translate those results into directly actionable insights. By doing so, you'll help engineers and development teams innovate faster and provide management with the data-driven insights they need for strategic decisions.
Whether it's an engineer who needs to know where to adjust or a manager looking for a quick overview, you deliver the answers. You document methods and results to ensure knowledge is retained and contribute with your analyses to publications and patents that strengthen the organization's innovative power. You make sure this all happens according to the right quality and safety procedures, so that innovation and reliability go hand in hand.
Do I have what it takes?
You think and work at an academic (Master's) level and can independently tackle complex data challenges. You're experienced with Python, R, and SQL, and you know how to use machine learning, AI, and data engineering to create real value within the context of product development. You're familiar with various analytical methods and techniques, and use visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to make data clear and easy to understand.
You also feel at home in a technical environment and work well with various disciplines. You're analytically strong and communicatively skilled, able to clearly explain your insights to people who work less with data. Finally, you have a good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
What's in it for me?
Every month, you can count on a gross salary between €5,800 and €7,700. In addition, you'll enjoy flexible working, your work, your rules, your perfect balance. Success is celebrated together, and you'll receive a profit-sharing bonus that rewards your effort and contribution. You also won't need to worry about your pension and health insurance; those are well taken care of! And if you feel like taking a well-deserved vacation in the sun, you'll have plenty of time, with at least 27 vacation days.
