De Plesman opened its doors in March 2025 and has already earned a Michelin Key (which we’re secretly very proud of). We're a boutique hotel located in the former KLM headquarters in The Hague, honouring aviation pioneer Albert Plesman. The building’s history is reflected in every detail, from its architecture to its hospitality. Guests can enjoy an amazing dinner at Restaurant Suus, named after Plesman’s wife, or unwind at Albert Bar, named after Albert Plesman himself. A dynamic spot between the dunes and the city where The Hague’s heritage comes to life.
So.. What is different you ask? We are bold. We are looking for a (Senior) Sales Manager who wants to evolve hospitality together with us. We believe our team members are at the heart of our hotel and make it such a special place. We can’t do this alone though, and hence we are looking for you to drive customer loyalty and bring creativity to everything you do, ensuring our goals are not just met but exceeded.

What will you be doing?
● An all-round sales role involving account management, contract negotiations, and the acquisition of new accounts.
● Identify new sales opportunities and identify new customers and attract them to the business with all the tools provided.
● Ensures that current and prospective client databases are maintained that files are kept current and accessible and that timely sales reports are submitted to the Director of Sales.
● Regularly follow up with clients and maintain accurate and updated information.
● Respond to client calls and special requests, ensuring that specific information is captured such as final details, dates, times, and hotel room requirements.
● Monitor guest satisfaction on a regular basis, both pre-and post-event.
● Your priority is to foster customer loyalty by ensuring exceptional service at every stage of the customer journey.
● With a solid understanding of the market, you proactively identify new sales opportunities and ensure both individual and team targets are consistently met.
● You are responsible for creatively executing and adhering to the annual corporate sales activity plan.
● Giving tours of the hotel to (potential) clients, where you convey your enthusiasm about the hotel.
Small print:
● You have 2 years of experience in a similar role. You’ll be on top of our list if you gained this experience at a 4/5-star hotel.
● You are bold and not afraid to ask questions to uncover the customer’s needs
● You like closing deals and know how to do it.
● You are not afraid of decision making and taking initiative.
● Dutch is your native language and you can speak English fluently
● You preferably live in the vicinity of The Hague
