Your Day to Day:As assistant Cluster Finance and Business Support Manager, you will drive the finance team in day-to-day operation and ensure a high standard of performance. In collaboration with the Cluster Finance and Business Support Manager, you will be reporting on the financial state of hotel and work with other department to make recommendations on improving hotel profitability. You will act as the finance team leader in the absence of the manager and be the main finance point of contact for hotel team and stakeholder in this capacity.People· Manage day-to-day activities, plan and review work with the team members ensuring the quality of task completed· Help developing the team by providing feedback and training to help maintain a high standard of compliance· Provide an escalation point for the hotel team resolution of finance issues· Drive the departmental communications with different stakeholders, both internally and externally· Support and maintain our relationship with outsourced teamFinancial· Use financial analysis, data trends and market information to anticipate needs, identify operating / financial issues, and recommend actions to maximise financial return· Assist in the yearly budget process and in the monthly forecast updates.· Review and reconcile our accounts on a regular basis to ensure the quality of our books· Supervise the account payable / receivable activity to balance cash flow expectation, reputation with suppliers and guest expectationLead, Coach & Develop the Team· Onboard, motivate and develop a high-performing Finance & Business Support team.· Act as the first point of contact for Finance team members, providing day-to-day guidance, support and direction while fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.· Support the Cluster Finance & Business Support Manager in creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.· Conduct quarterly Check-in Conversations with all team members, providing constructive feedback, setting development goals and supporting career growth.· Hold regular Finance team meetings to communicate business updates, priorities, process improvements and departmental results.· Ensure all Finance colleagues are trained on company policies, internal controls, accounting procedures, financial systems and compliance requirements.· Identify training and development opportunities to strengthen technical knowledge, financial awareness and professional skills within the team.· Encourage strong collaboration and communication with all hotel departments, the outsourced finance team and external stakeholders to ensure efficient financial operations.Responsible Business· Follows IHG policies & procedures, delegation of authority and code of conduct· Implement and maintain acceptable accounting practices as per company policy and procedures· Preparing for yearly financial audit documentation through the year· Internal reporting for both Hotel and Corporate legal entities (where applicable)· Prepare some fiscal documentation to ensure timely handling of taxes· Ad-hoc duties – As part of the Finance team to handle additional administrative task as requiredYou are also responsible for· Continually looking for and recommending improvements and efficiencies to the current financial policies and procedures.· Monitoring, and reviewing the daily accounting functions of the hotel departments, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash administration, and general ledger.· Reviewing that employees have adequate awareness and understanding of internal control standards/procedures.· Maintaining all financial records, files, and contracts secure and organized.· Monthly reporting, preparing monthly departmental reviews.· Interact as required, with individuals outside the hotel including, but not limited to, suppliers, outsourced service centre, owning company, auditors, and banks· Promoting teamwork and lifestyle service through daily communication and coordination with other teams.· Living the voco™ and Crowne Plaza brand with pride, passion & energy. What we need from you:
Must speak fluent English. Dutch understanding valued but not necessary
Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification in Accounting/Finance or Hotel Management valued.
Experience within a hotel finance setting with supervisory experience in the finance department.
Knowledge of accounting management duties such as negotiating contracts; processing payroll; providing business projections, preparing government reports, filing tax returns.
Have strong multitasking & time management skills
