Our client is an international organisation with a core business in the storage and logistics for crude oil, refined products, petrochemicals and all types of dry-bulk commodities.

Job Description
Internal business facing role that supports local business needs by assigning or finding a source of supply (tactical sourcing) for non-strategic commodities. Executing local tactical requests and delivering procurement/ materials management solutions. Help to negotiate local contractual terms and conditions with applicable standards. Including local pricing and implements approved 3rd party purchase contracts to satisfy local business requirements through enabling system call-off transactions.

Job Requirements
Required Education, qualifications and/or trainings:

  • Minimal MBO education (intermediate vocational education) + equivalent procurement training (NEVI MIL)

Additional knowledge:
  • An education in business related activities desirable (accounting, economics, business studies, etc)
  • A good knowledge of production/engineering procedures
Required experience:
  • Must have experience (3-5 years) in MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) procurement
  • Capable to negociate by getting the best results (price, quality, and delivery time)

  • Fluent (both written and verbal) in Dutch and English

  • Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data.
  • An education in business related activities desirable (accounting, economics, business studies, etc)
  • Ability to work on own initiative, but also part of a team
  • Attention to detail & analytical & disciplined
  • Ability to create and develop new contacts/vendors that are vital to the business improvement.
  • Be adaptive to change and ongoing improvement.
  • Must be willing to adapt new rules & procedures to progress.
  • Accept directives and delegate when necessary.
  • Trust and discretion when dealing with company's finances, invoices & credit cards.
  • Ability to work under pressure & within time constraints.
  • A pleasant manner, fairness and courtesy when dealing with vendors, contractors & colleagues.
