Our growth ambitions are huge, and the engine powering that growth is data. To become the smartest and fastest business lender in the Netherlands, we need a rock-solid, scalable data platform. A platform that not only works today but also prepares us for the future. And that’s exactly where you come in.
As our new Senior Data Engineer, you are the architect and builder of this engine room. You will join our Data Platform Team with a clear mission: to further develop our platform, built on Databricks and Qlik. You'll ensure that our data scientists and analysts have the tools and infrastructure to work their magic—from running crucial machine learning models for credit risk to delivering razor-sharp dashboards. In short, you will build the foundation for our data-driven future.

You won't be stuck in meetings all day; you'll be building, improving, and innovating.
- Building and managing pipelines: You will design, implement, and manage robust batch and streaming workflows in Databricks. You ensure that data flows flawlessly through our Medallion Architecture.
- Automating code and infrastructure: You will build and maintain our CI/CD pipelines in GitLab. Thanks to you, code, SQL, and infrastructure changes are smoothly tested, deployed, and monitored.
- Laying the foundation: Using Terraform and Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs), you will manage our infrastructure‑as‑code. You ensure that deployments and environments are reproducible and solid.
- Developing tools: You will build and maintain reusable Python libraries that retrieve data from various internal and external sources, making your colleagues' lives easier.
- Collaborating and connecting: You will be the technical sparring partner for our data scientists, analysts, and the engineers from the Engineering Platform Team. Together, you ensure the entire data landscape runs like a well‑oiled machine.
BridgeFund is a group of headstrong and sometimes slightly impatient go‑getters who want to make a social impact. Ambitious, positive rebels who work hard but don't take themselves too seriously. An alliance of like-minded people, committed to the same mission: showing that a bank‑free world is easier, more efficient, fairer, and therefore more fun. What do we do? Build a digital bridge between the stagnant capital of successful entrepreneurs and working capital for ambitious entrepreneurs. Using human‑centered artificial intelligence, we create a circular system that allows money to find its rightful place smartly, quickly, and easily. And just like entrepreneurs, we're not interested in money. It's merely a tool for entrepreneurship.

- Increase our quality: You will professionalize our data modeling and architecture. You'll set technical standards for scalability, security, and reliability, elevating the entire platform to a higher level.
- Build for the future: As the architect of our data platform, you will steer its technical evolution. Your vision and decisions will ensure we stay ahead of the competition tomorrow.

- Your architectural vision: You have a solid understanding of data architecture and system design. Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and writing unit and integration tests is second nature to you.
- Your mindset: You don't just think in code; you think in solutions. You are a builder who values quality and enjoys coaching and guiding others.
“BridgeFund is a fantastic place to work because it doesn't feel like work. It's not the catered lunch, company boat or other great benefits (although those perks don't hurt!). It's the people, the purpose and the passion we bring to work every day.”
