Business Controller

As a Business Controller you drive and grow business value by setting and achieving financial targets for our business units. You deliver meaningful interpretation and decision support based on analytics. You give us insights into the financial performance to drive improvements.

You are the finance business partner to various department managers and cost center owners. You identify financial risks and opportunities and drive necessary action plans. Actively implementing continuous improvement to financial control processes and tools allows AME to keep doing better and better. You report monthly on actuals vs budget and cost control.

• Drive the review of financial performance of various parts of the company working on reducing the break-even point.
• Financial monitoring of the assigned business units and the implementation tracking of corrective actions. Executes and manages variance analysis, balance sheet, working capital management (incl. Inventories) and decision support.
• Quarterly rolling forecast and annual budgeting.
• Executing cost prices calculations and analysis of our products.
• Project control and analysis on R&D projects.
• Inventory reporting and controls.
• Cost-Of-Poor-Quality and controls.
• Margin analysis and optimization forecasting.
• Orchestrating the CAPEX process and business cases.
• Maintaining and enforcing a set of management reporting in BI and being one of the key users of our BI tools.
• Participating in various improvement projects across the company.

The ideal Business Controller combines a solid background with a strong personality.

Looking at background, we see the optimal profile as such:

• Bachelor or Master degree in a financial or business economics direction.
• At least 5 years’ experience as Business Controller.
• Proven experience in project control, cost accounting and business analysis.
• Experience with SAP is a must; experience with BI is a plus.
• Excellent command of English language, Dutch is a plus.
• Living close to the Brainport region is a plus.
